About Krishna Prasai
I am a Nepali lawyer, writer, and human rights activist committed to justice, equality, and social reform. Throughout my professional journey, I have worked to uphold the rule of law and protect the fundamental rights of individuals, especially those from marginalized and underrepresented communities. My legal practice covers areas such as constitutional law, civil rights, and social justice. Over the years, I have taken on many challenging cases that address corruption, inequality, and discrimination. I believe in using the law as a powerful instrument to defend the oppressed and to ensure that those in positions of authority are held accountable. I have also been actively involved in efforts to make Nepal’s justice system more transparent, inclusive, and accessible to the public.
Along with my legal career, I am also a writer and researcher. I have authored several books, including Concept of Legal Theory, Study of Jurisprudence and Law, Human Rights, Research Methodology, and Writing Essays. These works have been useful to students and researchers in understanding the relationship between law and society. In addition to academic writing, I write poetry and literary works. My epic poems—Satyawati, Bijayawati, and Pratibimba—explore themes of truth, identity, and moral awakening, and hold a meaningful place in modern Nepali literature.
As a human rights activist, I have consistently raised my voice against corruption, gender discrimination, and social injustices. I work to promote awareness and encourage positive change by connecting legal action with ethical and social responsibility. Through my roles as a lawyer, writer, and activist, I strive to contribute to a fairer and more just society. My goal is to inspire others to stand for integrity, humanity, and equality and to support the continuous progress of Nepal’s legal and social systems.
