Translation: Gen G Movement
Government Recognition and Historical Institutionalization of the Gen-Z People’s Movement

The Government has formally acknowledged the clear mandate expressed by the Gen-Z People’s Movement and published the related decision in the Nepal Gazette. This stands as historic evidence that the State has institutionally recognized the movement’s core demands, spirit, and guiding principles.
The public struggle expressed on the streets has now been officially recorded in the national archive. Despite differences in ideas or perspectives, this process has further strengthened our shared commitment to remain united in the collective fight against corruption, misgovernance, and irresponsible state mechanisms.
In the presence of representatives of the Gen-Z Movement and leaders of civil society, the Right Honourable Prime Minister has already signed the agreement. Subsequently, the Cabinet meeting held on Thursday approved the agreement and decided to publish it in the Gazette. Along with this, it has also been decided to extend the mandate of the investigation committee formed to look into the incidents of Bhadra 23 and 24, as required.
According to the agreement, no individual will face legal action solely on the basis of participation in political activities. Likewise, if any individuals have been arrested, arrangements have been ensured for their release from custody.
This decision has established a significant milestone in our journey to formally institutionalize the Gen-Z uprising as a legitimate political movement. The once-rebellious voice of the past has now transformed into a documented part of history, serving as a guiding foundation for future political, social, and institutional reforms.
